There are a number of residential and nursing care option available in Bexley. These may be considered for long term or short term, respite care.
A care home is where a number of people live, usually in single rooms, and have access to on site care services. Homes are registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide different levels of care.
A home registered simply as a care home will provide personal care, that is help with washing dressing and giving medication
A home registered as a care home providing nursing care will provide personal care but also have a qualified nurse on duty 24 hours a day to carry out nursing tasks. Theses homes are for people who are physically or mentally frail, or people who need regular attention from a nurse.
