

The client is visited at home by the befriending co-ordinator soon after a request is received. When a trained volunteer befriender is available, the co-ordinator and befriender will visit the client to meet and discuss the weekly day and time suitable.
The volunteer will always be matched with the client wherever possible.
The volunteer works to agreed limits and boundaries. Volunteers provide emotional support and increase the clients self confidence and self esteem. Acting as a 'bridging agent to the outside world.
