Thurteen Volunteer handypersons carry out small jobs for clients who cannot manage the tasks themselves. They supply and fit smoke alarms and alarms for the deaf and hard of hearing. The alarms are provided by the London Fire Brigade who instruct our handypersons in how to carry out fire safety checks.
The handypersons replace tubes, bulbs and fuses, fit curtains and curtain rails and carry out simple furniture repairs. They also replace tap washers and fit grab rails.
In addition, handypeople do jobs to help keep the home secure i.e. fit door chains, bolts and locks and fit key safes.
