Bexley Council for Racial Equality/ Vietnam Project

Description

The Vietnam Project is working in partnership with the local service providers to provide information, advice and practical assistance on welfare, housing, council tax benefit, education, employment, police, health, care in the home, transport/travel and consumer matters including gas, electricity and telephone. The Drop in Centre organised and managed by the Vietnam Project worker is open on Wednesdays and Fridays for the local Chinese and Vietnamese speaking Elders. The activities at the centre includes playing mah-jong, Chinese chess, card games, watching films and news in Chinese as well as reading Chinese/Vietnamese magazines and newspapers. The project also supports and organises cultural and social activities

Nutritious hot meal freshly prepared for elderly people who attend the Drop in Centre cost £1.50 per head
