Bexley Emergency Linkline(BELL)

Description

BELL offers security and help to people at the touch of a button or via automated sensors. BELL supports using technology to monitor and respond to a person's well being and summon help if required. The supportive professional staff will offer assistance not just for emergencies but for a variety of things which may include phoning a nominated contact on your behalf. BELL can also arrange medical assistance, despatch a BELL response worker or contact the emergency services so you do not have to. Users have commented that the service 'makes them more confident alone in their homes'

Other Information

Charges cover the provision of the 24hr monitoring and response service, all equipment, installation and maintenance. Invoicing can be arranged either monthly or quarterly and you have choices over method payment. Financial assistance can be made available by assessment to meet the costs for those individuals on low incomes via the Supporting People Programme.
BELL can be for anyone that wants the reassurance of having a point of contact 24hrs a day, that is easy to get in touch with and will provide an appropriate response. Users of the service include people who live alone, have health problems or mental health issues, have a learning disability or who may be in fear of crime.
