This initiative has been launched by Police, London Borough of Bexley, Age Concern Bexley and Trading Standards to reduce the number of offences involving bogus callers and rogue traders. The scheme works by the vulnerable person nominating a neighbour so when someone calls at their home, whom they do not recognise or expect, they will show the caller the leaflet which will direct them to the nominated neighbour's address so their identity can be verified, the nominated neighbour would then with the caller when satisfied with the identity.
