Opened in September 2006, Northbourne Court is Avante’s first brand new care home. The home accommodates 120 older people arranged in suites of 15 and includes a wide range of social facilities with the aim of providing a pleasant and stimulating environment for residents as well as promoting social interaction with families and friends. The Piazza on the first floor offers a licensed bar/café with piano, an internet library with children’s play area, a reading room, hairdressing salon and a large reception lounge. Northbourne Court has secure gardens with level walkways and patios, all suitable for wheelchairs. Northbourne Court has accommodation for 120 residents and offers specialist dementia care as well as respite care and day care. Food preparation and catering is all provided in-house
