

Orbit South provides sheltered accommodation for people aged 65 and over. Sheltered housing schemes are tailored to enable residents to live independently. Each scheme has a scheme manager and many schemes also have upgraded CCTV door entry and telecare systems. For those who wish to take part schemes have a range of activities including Day Centres, Bingo, coffee mornings and residents computers with IT training. Orbit South will also be shortly introducing the silver Exercise and wellbeing programme in all Bexley Schemes.

Applications for housing can be made via Bexley Council.
Supported Housing Sheltered Scheme properties are available to rent, with a weekly payment which covers rent, water rates, heating hot water, service and support charges. Scheme based on activities may be chargeable which will vary dependent on activity and location.
Sheltered housing is usually available to people of retirement age. Each application is looked at individually and all applicants will need to undertake an assessment during a visit to a scheme.
